Midsummers Eve

Midsummers Eve  Midsummers Eve

Hey there fans, people of the world and all creatures living in our universe:

The last weekend was a special one if you happen to be Swedish, at least the Friday was. It was Midsummers Eve, second biggest holiday in Sweden after Christmas. As usual we had more important stuff to do than being at home partying our asses off with friends and family. Instead we played a kick-ass show in London, Hyde Park to more precise.

I´ve got to be honest with you though...we did have a party after the show with typical Midsummer food such as herring, new potatoes, Wästgöta kloster ost, and drinks such as snaps and, well, more snaps I guess...we brought everything with us from Sweden so, well done Hives, what a party!

Quiz: See if you can spot all of us in the party picture!

While we were in London we stopped by Lewis Leathers and got ourselves measured so we can look as good as The Ramones, The Clash and The Rolling Stones wearing their LL jackets. Outside the store a very beautiful 50´s BSA scrambler  was parked, the bike got our pulse up a few notches just by standing there, so all in all a nice experience I would say.

The Saturday wasn't bad either, we played the Azkena festival in Spain, kick-ass show by yours truly again and great shows by two guys, i think one of them was called Chris Isaak and the other one Bob something, Bob Dylan i think? Both of them will go very far in the music business if you ask me. We also had a chat with Slim Jim Phantom, great guy if you ever happened to stumble across his path.

Take care now, will you!

Chris

Civilization's dying!

We are missing headbands and sleeveless shirts on our version oh and people dancing on stage with us as well. Otherwise i think our version is pretty good. Helluwalot of rain too at our show as well. Maybe the Zero boys were onto something back in 1981 - playing indoors hmmm not a bad idea... what a great band too!

Civilization's dying with Zero boys

...and now with The Hives

Gothenburg show

Hey all!

Thursday we did our 2nd show on Swedish soil this summer when we played Gothenburg and the Hives machinery is really oiling up, spinning and purring sweet. Made a cold night 20 degrees Celsius warmer with our patented version of how to rock out with Mr Spock out!?

Stay cool on the outside and hot on the inside!
