Where: Houston, TX

When: October 26, 2007

Story:
So I really love you guys, and when I found out you were playing in Houston I bought the closest tickets I could get to see you, but I couldn't belive the stupid Toyota Center had assigned floor seating. SO When you guys started playing my friend (who flew in from Kansas City to see you)and I ran up to the stage to get closer to all of you, but the damn security made us go back to our seats and threatened to kick us out. Then Howlin' Pelle Almqvist, that glorious sight, yelled that he wanted everyone to run up to the stage, which for us was a big FU to the security guard who had yelled at us earlier. It was so amazing, I got to be up close to the Hives, Nick Arson taughnted me with hopes of a guitar pick, and I grasped Pelle's hand at one point.
I'm on the left in the picture. I was the girl with the black jumper, looking very Hives appropriate, if I can say so myself.
You guys ROCK! Sorry Houston blows, but come back to Texas some time soon!!!

Where: Portland, OR

When: 3 years ago

Story:
You guys came to Portland at the end of the summer, and I tried so hard to get tickets to your show. But because you're so amazing they has sold out in 3 days or so. So I spent a week listing to my local radio station who were giving away tickets. After going threw some hives trivia on the radio I WON TICKETS. At the time it was the single best day of my life. Until I went to the show. I was right up front and you guys were beacons of glory. Pelle got down off the stage and walks right up to me and sings Diabolic Scheme to me. Now that is the single best day of my life.

Shout out:
Misters Destruction, Almqvist, Carlstroem, Arson and Dangerous, when you are in Ft. Worth give us an e-mail and Tad and I, Jennifer, will treat you and the crew to some real Texas barbecue or if you like Mexican food; the best Mexican food this side of the border. (Anytime you are ever in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area.)
Story:
Tad and I flew from Dallas/Fort Worth to New Orleans just to see the Hives at a headline show instead of in a stadium with Maroon 5. It was definitely worth the airfare and the 6 a.m. flight to get back to work the next morning. We had never seen The Hives in concert before but we knew we wanted to see them in a smaller venue and One Eyed Jacks was THE place. So we get decked out in our Black and White, me in my white go-go boots and he in his long-toed patents. Talking to people in line, people had flown in from everywhere, North Carolina and Mississippi to name two, to see The Hives sans Maroon 5. We were fortunate to get right up front, We were "blessed" by Pelle and shook everyone's hand except Chris (virtual handshake to you, Mr. Dangerous). I caught one of Nicholaus' pics and Mr. Matt Destruction GAVE me one of his. When I shook his hand I said thank you and he actually said thank you back to me (no, really, Thank You). I had been losing faith in contemporary rock music; it was fully restored last night. That was the GREATEST concert of my life.
Thanks Guys!
