Where: Webster Hall NYC

When: October 9th

Story:
As I was getting on line for the show I walked by two people talking to a man, it took my friend pointing it out to realize that it was Pelle, with Vigilante standing next to him. My friend and I both said hey to Pelle at the exact same time and he looked over and said whats up. Later on in the night, as I asked a security guard where an ATM was she yelled at some guy who walked over the gate and went up stairs. He turned around, it was Nicholous Arson, he pointed to the crest on his shirt and said "I'm with the band." I was laughing for about twenty minutes after that. Finally as The Hives were rocking out, Dr. Matt Destruction reached into the crowd and shook my hand. He is truly the man, just drinking beer in between songs. It was one of the most amazing nights of my entire life. You guys are amazing!

Where: Las Vegas

When: Tyrannosaurus tour - January 2005?

Story:
Well I came from Portland Oregon to Las Vegas to see The Hives- my favorite band, for my 16th birthday. I came a few hours early to wait in line and got a spot right up front. Where halfway through the concert Nic Arson reached out into the crowed and held my hand.

For a raving fan, that was amazing. I'm seeing you November 2nd!!!

Dear Dr. Matt Destruction,

It's the kid who suggested you cover Richard Hell and the Voidoids on the street.

I am going to hold you to your word in February. We must go to a bar! Or a party or something. Best of luck!

Much love,
John Coene

Where: Madison Square Garden

When: Several hours ago, October 10th

Story:
I always loved listening to songs by The Hives and was extremely happy to find that they opened for the Maroon 5 concert yesterday (my friend bought the tickets and she did not tell me they would be there). I was dancing along to the music and was shocked when Nicholaus threw me two guitar picks (I gave one to my friend). I thought I was only going to see Maroon 5 at the concert, so seeing The Hives there was like an early birthday present. Awesome!! If only I could meet them in person.. they seem truly amazing.
