Congrats to everyone who entered the lookalike contest. Drumroll please....
GRAND PRIZE: JAMES LYNCH
WOW! As a straight lookalike this is our hands down winner. Very, very, very good attention to detail here. Great fit and finish on everything. Even the hair! The only thing - and we mean the ONLY thing - not quite there is the stripes on the tie going the wrong way. What are you gonna do? Congratulations! The skateboard is yours!
Runners up:
Kimelle Plum: All handmade! We have to give it up 100% for a girl who learns how to make her own spats! That's undeniable talent. Again, attention to detail. Congratulations!
Hilda Bordahl: This is fantastic! An extremely updated choice of outfit and wonderful use of a computer makes this one a big favourite. The computer makes it hard to tell what was actually there when the photo was taken though, but great mustache! Great picture! You win a signed 7" of Tarred and Feathered!
We would also like to tip our berets to the entries who receive honorary mentions:
The Offender: This was our favourite of the full band entries. The Offender from Italy are a Hives tribute band. Good work on logo etc. Good jumping. That's important.
Chris Arson: Great Nicholaus interpretation complete with that puzzled facial expression we all love.
Zoe (submitted by Alycia Yates): If she is this good at 5, imagine this girl's Hives interpretation after she has practiced another 15 years or so!
Sofie Hanson: Very good attitude, suit and the correct angle on the guitar.
Parchis Day-Lewis: Top marks for creativity and flawless execution. Very similar mustache and pick.

THE HIVES CHEATING?
World renowned heroes and music business field leaders The Hives were caught red handed today cheating?! Authorities say the band were shamelessly playing the songs of other artists not present to defend themselves. New tapes have surfaced revealing an EP’s-worth of "stolen" material. Is it a desperate act of idol worship, or are we witnessing the fruit of lame work ethic and laziness? Hardly the latter! However the black-and-white-clad bandits made off with three of the music world’s biggest and brightest shining jewels: Civilization’s Dying also known as "The Hoosier State Sapphire", Early Morning Wake Up Call also known as "Whoa Uluru Uluru" (meaning "F%#k! It´s at least twice as big as Uluru!") and Nasty Secretary the larger part of "The New York Star" - the only diamond ever found on the island of Manhattan. The victims are Zero Boys, Flash and the Pan, Joy Ryder and Avis Davis respectively. None of the artists were available for comment but Glen Ross Fitzhume, the head of the record collectors unit at UCLA (Urban Collectors of Large Amplitude) says he doesn't think they'll mind. The Hives have already pleaded ‘totally guilty’ to the crime and are currently serving their sentence in the good ol’ tradition of tarring and feathering.
The evidence will be released as the TARRED AND FEATHERED ep July 2nd, 2010.
